Wow, it’s been a crazy few weeks over here. I have been positively drowning at work (we’re short-staffed right now, plus people have been out on vacation), and when I get home I’ve been so tired I can’t do anything but go to bed. And I had my dance recital on Memorial Day weekend, so I had rehearsal every night prior to that. Things are finally slowing down now, though, and I am very glad. I wouldn’t have been able to keep that pace up for long.

Not much new on the home front, besides being tired I have been feeling pretty sick most of the time. While not necessarily puking all the time, just a constant feeling of nausea. Bleh. That is really no way to go through life. And last weekend, a tiny belly popped out, so now none of my pants fit. I’m not even 11 weeks along – I was well into the second trimester when I started to show with AE! I guess every pregnancy really is different, I was never really that sick with him either.

I wish I had something more interesting to say…I have watched quite a few movies since I last updated, so how about a bulleted list of movie reviews (without links, because I can’t figure out how to do them on N’s work Mac):

  • 28 Days Later: Surprisingly good. Less of a horror movie than I thought it would be, it wasn’t too heavy on the gore and actually had a cohesive plot line. Even N admitted that it was pretty good. It was the first time I had seen Cillian Murphy in anything other than the bad guy role, and I was impressed. Overall, definitely worth seeing.
  • Spiderman 3: Not bad. Thomas Hayden Church did well as the Sandman, although he looks kind of odd all bulked up. I think there may have been a few too many plotlines going on, though, and it was really long. Certainly not the best movie I’ve ever seen, but nowhere close to being the worst, either. Although I think Spiderman 2 was better.
  • Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End: Very cool. Of course, I really loved the first two movies. Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp are both easy on the eyes, which doesn’t hurt, and I thought it really did a good job of wrapping up all the loose ends that Pirates 2 left wide open. I’m not sure I loved the ending, but it was well done, I have to admit. Totally buying this one when it comes out on DVD.
  • The Wedding Date: Saw this with a few of my girlfriends. Not the greatest romantic comedy ever, but it was cute. I would probably watch it again. Debra Messing’s hair looked weird, though. A bad dye job or something…
