Well, it looks like I have settled back into a one-post-per-month routine again without meaning to. I’m not even going to make any sort of promises about posting more often, I think we all know that is a dirty, dirty lie.
Instead, I will give you another one of my Bullet Point Lists of Randomness:
- My son is really a sweet kid. I had a rough day at work, and when N told me that Miss T had a not-so-good day at school for some reason I totally lost it. AE then came to assure me “It’s okay, Mommy, all the babies were fussy so it is okay.” And then he gave me a big hug around my neck. He hates to see his mommy cry.
- Today marks the beginning of my second full week back to work. Except not really, because we closed at noon on Good Friday, so really this is my first full week at work.
- I like my job, but I like my sweet Miss T more. I miss being at home with her during the day.
- I have cried about this more than once.
- AE was telling me all about vitamin K today. I’m not sure how accurate his information was, but he certainly has a lot of it. Apparently they have a Charlie Brown Encyclopedia at school that he really likes.
- He pronounces it psycho-pedia.
- This is very cute.
- AE has very few mispronunciations that he uses on a regular basis. One of my favorites is “mines”. As in, “That book is mines.”
- He used to pronounce ketchup as “checkup”. He doesn’t do that any more.
- AE seems to be warming to his little sister. I can tell he really loves her and isn’t merely tolerating her now.
- I can’t wait for Miss T to have her own adorable way of talking. Right now I am quite content with her excited coos when someone talks to her.
- Being a parent is hard. It is messy, thankless, and you are always tired.
- It is all worth it when your kid says “I love you” – and means it.
- Now I know why my mom could never stay awake until the end of a movie. And I also understand why she used to complain of not being able to sit down until late in the evening.
- I’m becoming my mother. I can live with that.
- My birthday was last week. I turned 29. I’m okay with that too.
- N is ready for dinner. I’m getting hungry myself now that the kids are in bed. So I will bid you adieu, particularly since I don’t have a good way to end this post.
