N and I are thinking of getting some sort of rewards credit card – the only card we have right now with any sort of “perk” is just a plain old Discover. The cash back is nice, but it isn’t really much (1% or something) and frankly I would prefer to earn airline miles anyway. Does anyone have a reward card to recommend? I have one qualification: no annual fee. I don’t really care about the APR because it won’t carry a balance.

Anyone have suggestions on keeping Miss T’s diaper from overflowing in the middle of EVERY SINGLE FREAKING NIGHT? I’m thinking this may factor into her crazy night-waking situation of late. That girl can pee truly amazing quantities. It defies science: the eight-ounce bottle of formula she takes right before bed becomes like eleventy-thousand gallons of pee over the course of the next few hours. Incredible. I think I can count on one hand the number of times AE’s diaper overflowed during the night, but this is literally happening nightly with Miss T. I do change her when she wakes up to eat but that is usually too late. I bought some things called Diaper Doublers (basically just extra absorbent inserts) that help some but don’t solve the problem entirely. Tonight I’m going to try putting her in a bigger size diaper (with the insert) than she wears during the day, but if that doesn’t work I am totally out of ideas. Thoughts?

The betta I keep on my desk at work (he lives in one of these and it just cracks me up) has developed a rather painful-looking ailment. He has had a white bump on his fin for a while, and it keeps getting bigger and now is accompanied by a rather large hole. Is it a tumor? Does he have some sort of fish cancer? I have had him for about 2 and 1/2 years and have no idea how long he was in the pet store before that, so maybe it is age-related. Is there anything I can do about it? I don’t know much about fish, but I kinda like the little guy and don’t want him to be in pain. Do fish even experience pain? I HAVE NO IDEA. HALP.

Another pet-related (and pee-related!) issue: what time should I take the dog’s water bowl away so that she can make it all the way through the night without having to go outside? I need every precious moment of sleep I can get, and it does not please me to be greeted at my bedroom door by a whiny pee-filled dog when I have finally wrestled the whiny pee-filled baby back to bed at 3 a.m.

Well, as it happens this post was mostly about pee. Not my intention, but apparently my life.
