I am really hyper at the moment! And I have positively no idea why, but I do find it preferable to the extreme sleepiness that I am usually feeling this time of day. When you get as little quality sleep as I do, you do not question where the energy is coming from. You are just glad it is there.

I found a bunch of old photos on my computer while looking for something else this morning. Some of them were pretty funny. So using my newfound uploading capabilities, I give you the following:
HA! She is going to kill me for posting that, but there is my baby sister (Sher). My mom took the two of us to NYC as her college graduation gift (wow, has it really been two years ago?). Anyway, here she is in standard photo mode. In 9 out of 10 photo opportunities she is being a total ham. More proof:
She’s such a goofball, but SO MUCH FUN. We really didn’t get along all that well (massive understatement) while I was still living at home – I think our 5-year age difference combined with my, um, challenging teenage personality was a brilliant recipe for conflict. Now that we’re both adults though we have a lot of fun together. Here we are being goofy at the zoo a few years back (with my mom and AE):
And at the Guggenheim during our NY trip:
And with a wee little AE at Sea World in Orlando, this must have been summer 2003:
Oh! And speaking of a wee little AE, how adorable is THIS picture:
Hee! He’s “feeding” Aunt Sher-Sher styrofoam packing peanuts. I have no idea what made him do that but he thought it was all kinds of funny. Look at how his mouth is wide open too. He’s so grown up these days that it is really hard for me to believe that he was ever this little.
But clearly he was. And someday Miss T will be all grown up too and I’ll be getting all weepily nostalgic over pictures like this,
wondering whatever happened to my tiny little precious baby girl. Damn those children and their tendency to grow!! What was it I heard somewhere – the days are long but the years are short? I think that sums it up perfectly.
