So I am busily typing a response to an e-mail this morning and all of a sudden POOF!  The entire e-mail program closes out, no error message, no warning, nothing.  ARGH.  But I dutifully open it back up, and retype the same response.  I get to the exact same place in my message (near the end, of course) and again the program disappears.  WTF?  By the third attempt I was getting really pissed and then all of a sudden I realized that it was happening every time I tried to type the same word.  So I reopened Groupwise and simply tried to type that single word in the body of the message.  And once again, everything shut down.  NICE.  My e-mail program apparently doesn’t want me using the word “pending”.

Turns out it was some sort of corruption issue with the spell-check function.  I don’t keep my spell-check turned on (I’m a good speller so I find it hella annoying), but whatever.  It works now so I’m not going to argue.  And BB and I got a good laugh out of the whole thing.

That’s not the only problem there has been at work today – when I got here this morning the electricity was completely out!  They are building a cemetery behind us (do you build a cemetery?  Seems odd) and for the second time in as many weeks they accidentally cut through a power line.  OOPS.  It took awhile for it to be fixed, so we sent people out on a coffee and breakfast run while the rest of us sat around talking and getting hot in the lack of AC.  I wonder how many more times this will happen before they finish working over there…

Last night Miss T surprised me by not making a peep when I laid her down in bed.  We didn’t hear anything out of her until quite some time later, when she just needed to be plugged in.  I’m not assuming it was anything more than a fluke, but it was GLORIOUS nonetheless.  And by the time I finished with her it was time to bathe AE and get him to bed, which went fairly quickly and easily.  Then I took the dog for a walk (which was infinitely less boring with my iPod as entertainment), and when I got back I was able to sit down with a glass of wine (or two) in the BEAUTIFUL QUIET, talk to my husband and play around with my iPod some more.  A very pleasant and relaxing evening.  Here’s hoping it wasn’t an isolated event.

Wow, it would appear that I have absolutely nothing of interest to say today.  Yet does this stop me from talking?  NO IT DOES NOT.  Happy Tuesday to all.
