So.  After 2.5 lovely years together, my beloved pink RAZR bit the big one.  As of yesterday, I have a new phone.  Because I am cheap and we have two kids now instead of just the one that we had when I got the RAZR, I opted for the freebie phone.  Which is fine since I didn’t really use most of the features on the RAZR anyway.  I mostly liked it for two main reasons:  1)  it was very thin, so I could easily slip it in the back pocket of my jeans and still comfortably sit down; and 2)  it was pink.  (You can see what is important to me when it comes to technology.)

My new phone meets 50% of my criteria – it is a pleasant, pearly shade of pink.  However, it is not anywhere close to being as sleek and streamlined as the RAZR.  In fact, it is rather large and chunky with giant number buttons.  Think Jitterbug.  I guess the upside of this is that I am unlikely to lose something so big.

Let me now give a shout-out to my high school (or did we meet in intermediate school?  Who knows.  It was many years ago, I remember that much.) friend Allison – she bestowed upon me the “Blogging Friends Forever Gold Card”.  My first award!  Fun!

Of course, this probably means I’m supposed to pass it on and give the award to some other folks.  Which I would totally do!  If I weren’t so lame, that is.  I really don’t have that much of a following, and also I’m lazy, and since I can’t just give it back to Allison (well, I suppose I could, but that would create some sort of endless circle of award-giving, much like writing a thank-you note for the thank-you note you received), I believe I will just sit here and admire its shininess instead.  Is that an awful blogging faux pas?  Am I now a Very Lame And Also Horribly Bad Blogger?  If so, I apologize.  But, well, that’s how I roll.  Anyway, thanks, Allison!  I will have my husband add it to my sidebar.  Because I cannot.  See above re:  LAME.
