Well!  I’m done.  Not with any one thing in particular, just DONE.  I’m tired of being an adult.  I do not want to do any more laundry.  I don’t want to wash any more dishes, wipe off any more countertops, scoop any more cat boxes, feed any more animals, clean any more fishbowls, fix any more meals, bathe any more children, or wipe anyone’s ass other than my own.  I don’t want to vacuum, or go to the grocery store, or pick up toys, or change the sheets on the bed.  I don’t want to pay bills, or put gas in the car, or do anything else that requires even a minimal amount of effort.  Is that too much to ask?

So in other words, I’m back!  Right back where I started before Christmas break.  Busy and stressed out at work, and lazy and unmotivated in every other aspect of my life.  I’m really sick of this.  And quite frankly, don’t want to discuss it any more so I don’t know why I even brought it up.  Moving on!

Yesterday we took Miss T to have her 1-year portraits made at the local studio.  Fortunately, we got the photographer that has done our family portraits for the last several years – she’s really great with kids and has a knack for getting great candid shots.  (And I finally learned her name so can specifically request her from now on.)  It went well, I’m looking forward to picking up the proofs on Tuesday.  Of course, Miss T is such a ham that it probably wouldn’t have mattered with photographer we got.  She is such a goofball.  And within an hour or so of arriving home, she fell (while trying to scale the interior of the refrigerator, GOD) and is now sporting a rather impressive purple bruise right in the center of her forehead.  Nice timing.

I think AE must have grown a couple inches overnight, as the PJs that fit him when he went to bed are now indecently short.  It is incredibly bizarre, they were fine (if snug) last night but now a few inches of tummy plus his ankles and wrists are totally exposed.  Is it really possible for a kid to grow that noticeably over the course of a few hours?  Probably not, I’m thinking the more likely scenario is cheap pajamas that got all misshapen while he tossed and turned in his sleep.  Either way, he now looks like we can’t afford decent sleepwear, poor kid.

We don’t have too much to do today, fortunately, just a brief grocery store run (we are out of wine, OH THE HUMANITY) and some light housework.  Tonight I’m going to sit down with iTunes and change up the playlists on my iPod so that I have something a little different to listen to while working my ass off tomorrow.  I finally had N rip the remainder of my Metallica CDs to iTunes – and not a moment too soon.  Heavy metal is going to be just what I need to get me moving at work this week (I’ve recently discovered that my speed and efficiency seems to be directly proportional to my iPod music selection).  Rock on!
