Emily wants to know, if I had a super power, what would I want it to be?  Easy!  I have actually given this one some thought (why?), and have always wanted to be invisible.  Or, the ability to become invisible, anyway.  Like Sue Storm in Fantastic Four!  That would be a useful skill.  I can think of a couple of practical applications right this very instant. Engage invisibility cloak NOW!  Man, I could wreak some serious havoc if I was invisible.

(By the way, Fantastic Four was an okay movie.  Not great, but watchable, and even somewhat entertaining.  The sequal was crap.  Plain and simple.  I love you Julian, but not even you could redeem that mess.  But did I watch it all the way to the end?  Yes, yes I did.)

Miss T has started insisting that all of her meals be consumed by way of the spoon.  Which would actually be okay if she would let someone else help her.  But no.  She would like to spoon her food herself, thank you very much, and she gets positively IRATE should you aim a loaded spoon in the direction of her screamy little mouth.  SHE WILL DO IT.  No food is exempt from the spoon, by the way, even Goldfish must be consumed in this manner.  Mealtime is starting to become a very long, drawn-out affair.

Speaking of Miss T’s mealtime, the dog has finally made herself useful.  It almost took two years, but maybe she can finally earn her keep around here.  When Miss T deemed her bowl of chicken noodles unacceptable and flung it onto the kitchen floor, I invited the dog to come have a go.  And apparently all this time that I’ve been lamenting her incredible laziness and total lack of even ONE useful skill, she was just waiting for that invitation.  She wasted no time in cleaning the tile right up.  Who knew?  Greyhounds have manners and won’t eat off the floor unless specifically instructed to do so.

Transcript of a conversation with AE a few nights ago:

AE:  *sigh* I didn’t get to play Star Wars Lego for very long tonight.

Me: [not really paying attention]  Mmmhmm.  That’s rough.

AE: [dramatically]  I know, I know.  I lead a very hard life.
