I’m supposed to be at girls’ night with my high school girlfriends in Houston, but decided not to go at the last minute for a variety of reasons. Mostly because N and Miss T have been borderline sick all week and I had a Bad Feeling about going out of town overnight. So I bailed, which is disappointing because the girls and I always have a ton of fun, but I think it was the best choice this time. I’ll catch up with them next month but in the meantime, I have plenty of wine to keep me company (oh, and my husband, I guess. He’s OK too.)
I finished up the Lambrusco on Friday night and moved onto a German white wine.
Blue Nun claims to be refreshing and crisp, and indeed it was. So refreshing, in fact, that I drank almost the entire bottle at once. Oops. Anyway, it was very light and sweet – great for someone that isn’t a huge wine fan.
I don’t know what the deal is, but this seemed to go to my head much faster than the Lambrusco and also made me a tad…belligerent. Of course, it could just be that I drank more of it in a smaller period of time, but either way I don’t think my husband appreciated it when I requested a refill by shouting Bitch! Get me more wine!
Anyhoo, my rating for Blue Nun German white table wine: 3.5 stars out of 5.  Very tasty and easy to drink. Yum.
