Seriously, ya’ll, can I catch a break over here? I have been so freaking busy at work lately, it is insane. I’ve worked here for almost 3 1/2 years and have never been this overwhelmed with work. We’re down three employees, which means the rest of us are drowning. I AM DYING HERE. GAH.

So goes another fabulous excuse for why I haven’t been posting. The main reason is that I’m just so tired. It’s not like I’ve been working late (my job is very deadline-oriented, and those deadlines usually fall by 5pm), but I’m so stressed and overworked during the day that all I can do is collapse into bed once we get AE down at night. My husband finds this behavior thrilling. To that I say: You try growing a baby, caring for a preschooler and working full-time at a demanding job and then we’ll talk.

So, basically what we have here is a rehash of my last post. Tired, sick, busy…second verse, same as the first. Blaaaaaaaaah.

What have I done lately (besides work and sleep)? Hmmm. Let’s go back to my good friend The Bullet Point:

  • Had another appointment with my OB. Wee peanut looks good, and from the looks of things is very active. I’m 14 weeks already, wow. Hopefully I’ll be feeling it move soon.
  • Had my 10-year class reunion. My husband and a friend summed it up better than I could. In short, it was good to see some old friends, but overall it was LAME.
  • Saw Live Free or Die Hard. KICK ASS. Seriously. So, so good – I can’t wait to see it again.
  • Went to the beach for a weekend with my family. Brought along a friend from work, we had a lot of fun. Pictures here. (What would I do without my husband? You would have no pictures, that’s for sure.)
  • Yesterday we went to my parents’ retirement house in Georgetown for the day. It would have been a nicer day if AE hadn’t been such a crab, but what can you do. Either we sat around there with a crabby kid, or sat around here with the same. At least there we have Nonna and Grandpa to take some of the heat off.

Aaand, I think that’s it. I’ll try not to go so long between posts, but we all see how well that’s been going so far.
