Did you know that the combination of Dayquil and coffee can give you a serious buzz?  Or maybe that is just me.  At any rate, I am high as a kite here.  I really feel as though I have a couple margaritas under my belt.  Which, while awesome, is making it difficult to concentrate or even have a coherent thought.  The latter of which will become apparent shortly.

I probably shouldn’t mention anything, because really, the first rule of parenting is that you NEVER NEVER pat yourself on the back, because then everything inevitably goes horribly wrong and becomes exactly opposite of what you were raving about.  You will be jinxed.  For example, DON’T EVER SAY “my child is a terrific sleeper” because OMG you will soon feel the pain of being up every hour on the hour with a baby that has decided sleep is for LOSERS and as you slip into the seventh circle of HELL you will RUE THE DAY that you ever said ANYTHING, what were you THINKING.

That being said, I’m just going to quietly and carefully point out a FACT.  A fact that I’m not expecting to become routine, indeed it was probably a fluke, but still I enjoyed it and hope to again someday, possibly.  Maybe.  ANYHOW, Miss T slept all the way through the night last night, she didn’t even need her pacifier at any point.  Went down at 7:15ish last night, got up at 6:30 this morning, with only a peep around 1:45 that didn’t require parental intervention.  Can I get a HALLELUJAH.  Now we shall never speak of this again.

We had a milestone of sorts yesterday – I had to sign Miss T’s very first incident report at daycare.  Apparently she was bitten by one of the other babies.  Which at first glance seems more disturbing than it really is.  While they couldn’t legally tell me who the biter was, I got the impression it was less malicious and more “your finger got in the way of my shiny new teeth”.  Either way, she didn’t seem too worked up about it.

I can’t believe it is already September, I can’t believe this week is almost over already, I can’t believe a week from Monday AE will turn 6 years old.  And while we’re on the subject, I can’t believe a brand-new Wii is sitting in my closet awaiting his birthday and both N and myself have managed to resist temptation thus far.  I would really love to get that sucker hooked up.  My in-laws are getting AE Wii-related accessories to go along with it, I hope that they get him Mario Kart.  For his sake of course, not that I am dying to play such a thing.  Ahem.
