Because it has been 2 weeks and I’m still mad about it:
I would like to point out that a sign indicating LOOSE GRAVEL does not adequately prepare a hapless driver for the metric ton of loose asphalt that has recently been dumped onto the road. Gravel is one thing.  Airborne bits of tar is quite another.
For the love of Nancy, do a better job of warning me next time. Or else I might do more than post a lame letter on the Internet.
