In no particular order, a list of thoughts that have run through my mind at some point today:
- I wish people would stop commenting on the size of my coffee mug.
- Damn you green candy canes and your siren song of goodness. I wish I could quit you.
- It is too quiet in here today. I feel like I’m at the library.
- HOLY HELL. Who would eat something that smells so disgusting?
- What a crappy day to have forgotten to charge my iPod.
- Seriously, people, what is it to YOU what size coffee mug I use?
- Why must we always have that freaking fan running when it is actually COLD outside?
- I think it is even quieter than the library. More like working in a cemetery, although admittedly less creepy.
- Hello, random new person. Nice to meet you too, and I am sorry to inform you that yes, we do have to provide our own coffee mugs. Be prepared to have people offer unsolicited comments on the size you choose.
- How is it possible for the quiet to be so distracting? What I wouldn’t give for a screaming monkey slingshot right about now.
- Hot chocolate:Â good in theory, gross in actuality.
- Damn PTA and the request for volunteers! I can ignore a mass e-mail but when you ask me specifically I am going to have to say yes. And I’m sure that is your evil plan. BAH.
- I wonder if the crunching of pretzels is as loud to everyone else as it is to me. Not that it will stop me from eating them. CRUNCH CRUNCH.
- “The Beef Checkoff”. Hee!
- Finally! Someone turned on a radio to combat the stifling silence. Where was this person when my iPod died before lunch?
- I really need to get some work done.
